Town Cuts Back on Polling Hours for 2011 Elections

Polling hours will run from 12-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, due to no contested races.

Westwood residents looking to vote in this year’s Town Elections on April 26 should note that the poll times have changed.

Polls will be open on Tuesday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The reason for the reduction in hours is because there are no contested races this year, according to Westwood Town Clerk Dottie Powers.

(Editor's Note: The original poll time listed in the above paragraph was 2 to 8 p.m., and was later amended to 12 to 8 p.m. before the Westwood Board of Selectmen voted the finalized time frame of 12 to 7 p.m.)
