Westwood Police Log: Westwood Lodge Assault, Suspicious Car at Bank of America

The following information was supplied by the Westwood Police Department.

June 8, 2:28 p.m. - A patient of Westwood Lode entered the Westwood Police Department to report being assaulted by a fellow patient the previous evening, police said.

The patient was advised the process relative to filing a complaint at Dedham District Court.

June 8, 10:02 p.m. - Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Bank of America ATM on Providence Highway.

Police made contact with the driver of the car, a 2002 Toyota, and discovered a set of license plates in the glove compartment. It was discovered that the plates had been revoked subsequent an insurance cancellation.

Police seized the plates and returned them to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.

June 11, 10:28 a.m. - A resident of Waldo Way in Westwood reported to police that someone had entered her vehicle during the overnight hours and removed money from her purse, which was in the vehicle.

The vehicle was unlocked at the time, police said.
