Westwood Police Log: Trailer Stolen, Mailboxes Vandalized

A $400 trailer was taken from a home and half a dozen mailboxes were thrown into the street.

April 26, 5:50 p.m. - A High Street resident reported to Westwood Police that a small landscaping trailer that was parked in the resident's driveway was stolen from the property.

The trailer is about six feet long, police said, and has an estimated value of about $400. The trailer was used by the homeowner to bring trash cans to and from the end of the driveway for trash collection, police said.

The matter is under investigation.

April 27, 12:39 a.m. - Police received reports that several mailboxes were vandalized in the Oak Street neighborhood.

About six mailboxes were observed to have been thrown into the roadway of the neighborhood, police said. The matter is under investigation.
