Westwood Police Log: Plates Seized from Vehicle, Driver Cited for Expired Registration

License plates are turned in to the RMV, while a driver received a citation.

March 11, 12:38 p.m. - While on patrol, Westwood Police came across a Dodge Durango that had been parked at a business on Providence Highway, when they discovered that the car's license plates had been revoked.

Police seized the plates, which were revoked for an insurance cancellation, and turned into the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

March 11, 5:14 p.m. - Police pulled over a vehicle in the area of High Street and Stanford Drive after performing a random Registry of Motor Vehicle check, according to police reports.

The vehicle - a Honda SUV - was towed from the scene and driver was cited for driving with an expired registration.
