Westwood Police Log: Local Business Robbed, Door Ajar at Post Office

A business on Washington Street was broken into, and a door was seen open at the post office.

January 15, 5:58 a.m. – A business on Washington Street reported to police that someone had broken in during the overnight hours, taking a small quantity of cash as well as a vehicle that had been parked on the premises.

The vehicle, a 1995 Toyota Avalon, was later recovered in Boston. The matter is still under investigation.

January 15, 10:23 a.m. – A resident on Washington Street reported to police that a door had been opened at the U.S. Post Office on the road.

Police responded and found no suspicious activity involved. The door was secured shut.
