Westwood Police Log: Gas Siphoned, Storage Unit Theft

Gasoline Theft

Aug. 23, 1 p.m. - Westwood Police responded to a Spruce Drive home after receiving reports from a resident that someone had siphoned gasoline from his vehicle.

Police observed the vehicle and it was reported that the ring that locks the fuel door in place of the vehicle had been bent.

Storage Unit Break-In

Aug. 23, 5:12 p.m. - Westwood Police responded to on East Street after receiving a report that a unit there had been broken into.

The customer who had rented out the unit claimed that a number of items had been removed from the bin, including a photo printer, a scanner and some tee shirts.

The matter is under investigation.
