Westwood Police Log: Driver Cited on Winter Street, Solicitors Warned

Driver Cited

June 21, 3:33 p.m. - Westwood Police responded to the area of Winter Street and Clapboardtree Street after finding a person pushing a van along the public roadway.

The driver, police determined, was pushing the 2001 Ford Van because he ran out of gas. Upon further investigation, police determined the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured, and the driver was cited.

Solicitors Fail to Register

June 21, 8:59 p.m.  - Police received reports of solicitors moving through various neighborhoods after failing to register at the .

Police made contact with the solicitors and advised them of the town laws that require solicitors to register before going door-to-door.
