Westwood Police Log: Dispute Settled on Margery Lane

Police respond to shouting on Margery Lane, and speak to two businessmen on Woodridge Road.

January 27, 10:42 a.m. – Westwood Police received a report from a resident of Margery Lane of shouting in the area.

Police responded to the neighborhood, were able to locate the source of the shouting, and subsequently mediated a dispute between family members of a nearby residence.

January 27, 3:43 p.m. A resident of Woodridge Road expressed concern to police regarding two males who were going door to door in the neighborhood, asking if residents had any desire for tree work to be done on their properties.

Upon arrival, police determined that the two males were involved in a legitimate business, and advised them on the appropriate manner in which to solicit business in the community, which can be done through obtaining a solicitor’s permit.
