Westwood Police Log: Debit Card Compromised, CVS Asks for Extra Patrol

A large amount of money was charged to a local resident's card in Kenya, and a CVS manager was suspicious over two youths.

November 10, 4:18 p.m. - Westwood Police received a report form a Westwood resident that unauthorized charges had been made to her debit card stemming from nation of Kenya. 

The amount charged to the woman's card was in the range of about $2,500 to $3,000. Reports indicate that the woman's card had been compromised while visiting the African country. 

The resident's bank is working to resolve the situation, police said.

November 10, 9:21 p.m. - A manager of CVS on Washington Street asked police to perform additional checks of the store.

The request came after the manager found two youths, who frequently enter the store together but never buy anything before leaving through separate doors, to be suspicious.
