Westwood Police Log: Cars Collide on Route 1, Causing Rollver

Police responded to Dunkin' Donuts at 115 Providence Hwy on Tuesday, July 6 at around 10 a.m. after receiving reports of a rollover accident, according to reports.

Upon arrival and investigation, Westwood Police found that the operator of a 2002 Chevrolet had been traveling on Route 1, and, in attempting to pass one vehicle, was disrupted by a 2004 Toyota, which had been exiting Dunkin' Donuts. The Toyota hit the Chevrolet into the left lane, causing it to roll over, overturning it onto its roof, police said.

Both operators were transported to Norwood Hospital, however reports do not indicate the extent of the injuries involved. There were no other passengers in either vehicle at the time of the accident
