Westwood Police Log: A Suspicious Vehicle, Slow Driving

A suspicious vehicle is spotted in a driveway and police cite a driver for marijuana possession.

May 4, 1:18 p.m. - Westwood Police received report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a High Street residence, according to police logs.

Upon arrival, police determined that the vehicle belonged to a group of Westwood High School students who were engaged in a senior-class activity known as "Senior Assassins," a scavenger hunt organized by the students that is not affiliated with the school. 

May 6, 9:32 p.m. - Police issued a citation to a driver on East Street who had been reportedly driving at an extremely slow pace, according to police reports.

The vehicle had been traveling at no more than 20 miles per hour in a 35 m.p.h. zone, and eventually crossed over the double yellow lines in the road, police said. 

Upon pulling the vehicle over, police found less than one ounce of marijuana, as well as rolling papers and other smoking paraphernalia. The driver was cited for the appropriate violations, police said.
