Westwood Audi Dealership Struck with Car Damage, Wheel Theft

Two cars at the dealership were attacked during the July 4th weekend.

Westwood Police are investigating two reports of damage and theft at the Westwood Audi Dealership on Providence Highway during the July 4th weekend.

The first incident took place at 11:49 p.m. on Friday, July 2, after a security guard patrolling the lot at the dealership called police to report some stolen wheels. All four wheels had been taken from a 2008 Audi 5, which had belonged to a customer of the dealership, according the police reports.

Meanwhile, police also received a report at 9:06 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, that a 2009 Chevy Tahoe belonging to an employee of the dealership had been damaged. The driver's side window of the car was damaged, and there was apparent entry of the vehicle, police said. The owner of the truck was away at the time of the damage and it was unknown if anything had been missing.

Westwood Police are investigating both issues and are looking through surveillance tapes for potential identification.
