Police Log: Attempted Break-In, Nails Left on Road

Attempted Break-In on Lowder Brook Drive

Jan. 3, 8:16 a.m. - Westwood Police responded to an office suite at 200 Lowder Brook Dr. after receiving reports of an attempted break in to the building.

Police discovered pry marks on the rear door of the office building; it is believed that individuals got frustrated and left the area as a result.

There was no evidence of successful entry, police said, nor was anything stolen. The matter remains under investigation.

Nails Left on Driveway

Jan. 3, 1:38 p.m. - A resident of Harford Street reported to police that there appeared to be multiple instances of someone leaving nails at the bottom of a driveway on the road.

Extra checks have been requested for the area, and police asked the owner to notify them of any other suspicious activity.
