PHOTOS: Decor and More Holds Holiday Fundraiser

Twenty percent of sales from Wednesday's sales will benefit the Westwood Community Chest.

Westwood residents and shoppers from around the area still looking to check off remaining items on their holiday shopping lists had the chance to do so while also helping a local organization Wednesday. 

Between 5 and 9 p.m., shoppers at , located on High Street, were treated to Christmas music, food and refreshments as part of a  fundraiser. 

"It's the first time that we've done it," said Decor and More owner Melissa Lucier.

The shop is donating 20 percent of the proceeds from the event, which was co-organized with owner Liz Adams, who supplied the refreshments, to the Westwood Community Chest.

"It's been wonderful," Beth Kendall, WCC Co-Chair of Fundraising, said Wednesday night. "This is when we get our most applications from people. Every little bit helps. This is great for us."

Last month, High Street Market also helped out the WCC by holding a , during which it raised money by placing a small treasure chest at the store's front register. Patrons would then deposit money into the chest to help the local group.
