Get Your 'Pumpkin' On This Saturday

Westwood's annual PumpkinFest 2011 kicks off at 10 a.m. at the First Parish on Clapboardtree Street.

October is heavy in the air, and what better way to celebrate the autumn months than to wade in a sea of orange would-be Jack-O-Lanterns?

Take advantage this season, and head over to the annual on Saturday at the . 

The festival has taken place for the last 15 years, and is a perfect event for the whole family. And pumpkins are only the half of it. Also on hand will be a variety of activities, from pony rides to moon walks, games, prizes, crafts, a silent auction, a bake sale and even lunch.

And new to this year's event will be a number of jam sessions with Family Music Makers. Children and families will have the chance to play the drums, castanets, tambourines, egg shakers and more while learning about how much fun jamming as a family can be.

Sales will help benefit the , which is located at the church.
