Winner—Best French Fries in Westwood

The results are in on this week's poll asking readers where they like to get in a good workout in and around Westwood. And the winner is . . . !

The local eatery received . Coming close in second was with 30 percent of the votes, and with 15 percent.

Vello's has been around for nearly a decade, and the restaurant aims to provide "fun dining and seriously good food."

after working at the Double Rainbow Café in Boston's Copley Mall, where he worked for nearly five years before becoming a managing partner for a year and a half. Prior to that, Servello worked as a cook at Woody's Grill & Tap, and later Bukowski's Tavern, both Boston restaurants. 

But with Vellos, he's been able to maintain a core base of regular customers, who flock to the eatery for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specific menu items include sandwiches, pasta and seafood. The restaurant has also been featured by Phantom Gourmet in 2008 and 2009.
