Westwood Resident Interrupts Home Break-In

Police are still investigating the attempted robbery.

A resident of Olde Carriage Road in Westwood interrupted a break-in at her home last week, Westwood Police said.

The resident reportedly left her home, and, upon returning about 20 minutes later, interrupted a burglary at her house. The resident saw a newer-model red Kia Soul vehicle flee from the home, and because of her return home, the perpetrators were not able to take a number of items from the property.

Those items, police said, had been moved into position to be removed from the household, but when the resident returned home, the perpetrators had little opportunity to carry the burglary out.
