This Week in Westwood: August 9 - 15

Westwood Patch will be reporting on a number of local news items this week, one being a potential update to the new Westwood Public Library project.

We recently spoke to a local resident and counselor at Hale Reservation, who is trying to raise funds for a colleague in Ethiopia. Check back later today for the story.

Moreover, we will also be reporting on the Westwood Planning Board's meeting on Tuesday night, during which the Board plans to open a public hearing to consider the construction of a garage at Prevett Oil, as well as resume currently-open hearings on adding a 99-car parking lot at St. Margaret Mary's church, and renovations to Harlequin Nursery, a residential business, on High Street.

We are also planning to bring you updates regarding renovations to the roadway at the Thurston Middle School, and to speak to a number of residents regarding their feelings on the upcoming tax-free holiday.

Our "Meet the Chefs" series will continue this week as well, looking at yet another restaurant that helps make up the numerous eateries in Westwood.
