Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on a Westwood Farmers Market?

Officials are welcome to the idea of a farmers market at the Westwood Senior Center in 2012.

Residents in Westwood who enjoy buying locally-grown food might be in for a treat next year, as officials this week said they are in favor of .

The market, which would comprise about five vendors,  between Cottage Street and Nahatan Street, where it has been for about 17 years. The vendors have expressed sincere interest in moving to Westwood, and officials said this week that the ideal spot in town would be at the . 

Chris McKeown, Westwood's Economic Development Officer, said this week that he planned on speaking with Norwood officials to ensure the move would be okay by them. The next steps would involve planning out logistics for the market.
