Photo of the Day: Snowless Since Halloween

The biggest storm of the winter actually happened before the winter event started.

Welcome to the Photo of the Day!

We're on track for having a record winter in terms of lack of snow. While there certainly have been a few squalls here and there since the beginning of the season, the biggest storm to actually hit the area this winter actually took place before the winter even started. Tropical Storm Irene wreaked havoc on much of the state, including on Westwood, where trees were damaged, power was knocked out and the town was covered in a thick coating of the cold white stuff.

Many, though not all, of the photos from this series will come straight from our Neighborhood Gallery, to which you can upload your own photos of events, celebrations and scenes from inside the Westwood borders.
