Letter to the Editor: Thank You for the Opportunity to Serve

The following letter to the editor was submitted by Carol O'Brien, former Coordinator of the Westwood Early Childhood Council.

Dear Westwood Residents:

Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity to serve as the Early Childhood Coordinator in the Westwood Public Schools for the past 24 years.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many children, families and colleagues over the years. Westwood is truly a community that values their greatest assets- the children! I have loved my work and am proud of the commitment and collaboration of so many people for the success of the Westwood Early Childhood Council.

Thank you to all current and past Council members for their hard work on behalf of children, families and professionals who serve them. Thank you to Westwood Public Schools for all their support over the years.

A very big thank you to everyone for honoring me in such special ways to celebrate my retirement: the celebration ceremonies, the meaningful gifts, donations in my name to the Westwood Early Childhood Council Kathy Scales Memorial Preschool Scholarship, State House citations, and the commemorative rock and tree planted in my honor near the Senior Center and Tot Lot.

Thank you Westwood!

Sincerely,
Carol Craig-O’Brien
