5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 1

Today's Forecast: The National Weather Service is predicting scattered showers before 3 p.m. today, with a high near 53 degrees.  

1. Westwood Integrated Preschool Screening: Massachusetts' Special Education Law states that each school district shall conduct screenings for 3 and 4 year olds. The screening is designed to review a child's development and to assist in identification of those children who should be referred for an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services. As such, of children throughout the school year starting today. Call Sharon Gearty, Preschool Administrative Assistant, at 781-326-7500 (x5113) or email your name, phone number and address to sgearty@westwood.k12.ma.us to request the registration packet and schedule an appointment for your child. Another screening will be held April 4.

2. This Week's Meetings: On Monday we began  meeting schedules and agenda for the week ahead. Check back each Monday at 1 p.m. for a given week's roundup, starting with what's coming this week.
