Why Go: Come cheer on Westwood's Little Leaguers as they kick off the 2012 season! Baseball and softball teams should arrive at the Paul Hanlon School by 8:45 a.m., as the procession will leave promptly at 9. For more information, contact mmberluti@aol.com.

Why Go: The Aaron Guild Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be holding their Annual Garage Sale on Saturday in Westwood. Come find such items as jewelry, kitchen utensils, bric-a-brac, toys, books, tools, small furniture, and estate items. Come early for the best selection; proceeds will be used to support DAR’s patriotic, historic, and educational endeavors, such as the Good Citizen Award given to four deserving High School Seniors from the area who were chosen as Good Citizens by their classmates and teachers.
Price: Free to attend; prices vary by item.

Why Go: The Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Komen MA) is proud to present the 4th annual “Chefs for the Cure” event on Saturday. The event is an exclusive culinary tasting-style event which gives guests the opportunity to sample gourmet cuisine from some of the finest local chefs. Foodies abound will enjoy an intimate atmosphere, where they will experience scintillating flavors while interacting directly with participating chefs.

Why Go: The Rotary Club of Westwood will hold a recycle event on Saturday, and will welcome computers, washers, dryers, lawnmowers/snowblowers (no liquids), microwaves, or anything else with a plug. Televisions will be weighed at $.50 per pound. Start your spring cleaning this weekend!
Price: Free to attend.

Why Go: The Sisterhood of Temple Beth David will present New York actress Susan Stein as ETTY in a play based on the Journal of a 29-year old Dutch Jew killed in the Holocaust who explores her relationships with family, friends and God. There will be a discussion with the actress and refreshments following the play. 
Price: $15 for adults; $10 for students.
