Business of the Week: Chiara Bistro

Since 2005, the restaurant has brought a taste of the Mediterranean to Westwood.

Recently the venue for two successful Westwood Day 2012 fundraiser events, has added a dash of spice into Westwood in recent years.

Chiara may have be a staple restaurant in town since it opened in 2005, but its origins date back further to the streets of Roslindale, where the eatery's owner and Executive Chef, , was first exposed to the world of cooking.

LaCount's grandmother, Chiara Benedetti, would grow fresh vegetables in a massive garden outside their Roslindale home when LaCount was a child. They would pick fresh produce daily and then use the ingredients to cook for 15 or 16 people on a nightly basis.
