New Assistant Town Treasurer Chosen from Within

After a lengthy search which yielded more than 30 applicants, Kathy Foley has been named the new Assistant Town Treasurer.

Foley previously worked in town for five years and was the right person for the job, said Treasurer Jim Gavin.

“After several rounds of interviewing, we felt as though Kathy was the best fit for the position of Assistant Treasurer,” Gavin told the Board of Selectmen on Monday.  “Kathy’s a very, very quick study. She’s smart. She’s got the demeanor, the professionalism. She’s worked with the different groups in town. She has what the treasurer’s office needs in that role; I’m thrilled.”
