Melanie, I posted this message on the comment section. Any thoughts? Why won't anyone else comment on the Two schools one book fiasco? The arrest of the books main character for severely beating his wife is definitely worthy of an article considering the patch covered the event itself. I think it is very sad that our kids are getting an agenda driven education in Newton, but it is far more sad when the leaders of our public schools will not admit when they have failed. Our kids spent a considerable amount of time being told what a great guy Zeitoun was, so much so they skipped a day of school to talk about him. What is the lesson our kids are suppose to learn here? If you pretend like something never happened and don't comment on it, all will be well. The real lesson of Zeitoun is turning into a very embarrassing one with the assistance of the two Newton High Schools and their look the other way attitude. Please don't join them in ignoring this issue
