So you cant ask a neighbor to help? Instead leave the sidewalk impassable for everyone else because you're stubborn? Silly.

ReplyAfter watching people walking in the street on Newton St, High St, Prospect St days after the storm was over was embarrassing. If you are capable to shovel, take a little pride in your city and show some compassion for those who need to use our sidewalks. If you arent capable due to age or disability, find someone in your neighborhood who can do it for you. Its amazing how friendly some people are when we're faced heavy snow storms. No one should be forced to walk in the street on a busy road. And this goes for the city also. Newton St sidewalks by River St were never touched. The city needs a list of sidewalks they need to clear.

ReplyI am disgusted by the conditions of the sidewalks in this city. No wonder the Mayor and CPW doesnt care, most residents dont care about clearing sidewalks.
Why, this many days after a storm, our main roads like Totten Pond and Main St near City Hall arent back to full width and every sidewalk cleared enough for people to walk on? I know this problem isnt just waltham -Middlesex Tpke in Burlington is the same- but how do we fix this? This is completely unacceptable. Time to make it law to fine residents and businesses who do not clear their sidewalk within 24 hours of a storm.

ReplyI wish the mayor well. While I may not agree with some decisions, her and her office have always been quick to respond to questions I may have.
Hopefully we will get some quality candidates who will have a vision plan for the next 10-20 years for the city and how we can achieve those goals. The city has a lot ahead of it and hopefully we will get someone who understands the uniqueness of the city and the different needs for each part of town.

So you dont eat there, like what they sell, or how their business looks... and because of that prevented others from making their own choices on where they want to eat and spend their money. Weird thing to be proud of.. keeping people from being able to make a choice all on their own.

who said it did? it describes his past history as a terrible driver and also shows he has no respect for rules and laws. I hope our judges arent lenient on him when he has his day in court.
