ReplyChristine, nice article...this hits a nerve for me. You make a great point to buyers regarding their offer price being based on things they already know about the home and not waiting for an inspection report to quibble over a 20 year old roof. As you know, a good listing agent will take that into account when establishing an asking price. When I am negotiating on behalf of the seller on an item such as a new roof, I remind the seller it is the buyer who is getting the benefit of the new roof over the next 20 years not the seller. To that end, if this was taken into account at original asking price, we are typically not open to a whole lot of negotiation on that item.

ReplyEllissa, unfortunately the classic red bulls-eye only shows up in a small percentage of cases. Many people who have Lyme never get it or see it. Having had Lyme Disease 3 times I can tell you I never got the rash. I would suggest you bring it to the attention of your PCP asap. Sometimes a high dose of antibiotic is prescribed within the first 24 hours. Another approach is to get a blood test in 30 days as the antibodies for the disease will be present then if you have it.
It is also suggested when you are in a wooded area to check yourself for up to 3 days afterwards as the ticks are to small to see and they do not always attach immediately. Finally I disagree with the strong soap and would suggest a loofah. Put your clothes in the dryer for 30 minutes, that is the only thing that will kill the ticks. A shower or washing machine will not. -

ReplyEvery Friday in our house it is pizza night. We have been doing this for as long as I can remember. When we lived in Norwood we always got our pizza from Islington pizza. It is consistently good and we love the crust. When we moved to Canton we started looking for pizza closer to home. We have found some good pizza shops in Canton. However, we still come back to Islington for their pizza at least once if not twice a month. Well worth the trip.

Hillside Pub, friendly atmosphere, great service, prices that can't be beat, great pub food, best Guinness this side of the Atlantic, drafts are cold and fresh, drinks are well poured, entertainment is in the chair next to you or on one of the many T.V.s. I'll put this place up against anyone for great burger's, pizza or just a friendly smile!
