The charges stem from a break-in at a Dover Road home on October 9, 2012.
Westwood Police have charged two individuals for breaking into a home on Dover Rd. on October 9, 2012. Police indicate that one individual, a 34-year-old Weymouth man, entered the unlocked home while his 27-year-old female accomplice remained close by in a vehicle awaiting the exit of the male from the home with stolen items. Working closely with Dover and Medfield Police, Westwood Police Detectives were able to determine, based on crime scene investigation, that it was likely that the same individuals were responsible for housebreaks in those communities on the same day as the break-in on Dover Rd. Saturday, September 15 ARREST (8:37 p.m.) - Adam Clark, 40, of Foxboro was outside a closed business on East St. An officer observed him and, having knowledge that there had been a break-in there before, approached him to find out what he was doing there. Through a routine check, the officer found that Clark had outstanding warrants out for him in Woburn, Salem and West Roxbury District Courts, and he was subsequently placed under arrest. Friday, September 7 Car Break-in (5:04 p.m.) - A caller reported that their car, a 2003 Volkswagon, had been broken into at a business parking lot on Providence Hwy. The front passenger side window had been broken and a GPS had been taken. Front Door Damage (5:49 p.m.) - A Whitney Ave. resident reported that there had been damage done to their front door at some point during the previous 24 hours. The damage appeared to have been done by a pellet or BB gun. Break-ins have been an ongoing issue in recent weeks in Westwood. But now, unlike the more common home break-ins, the most recent incident involved the Westwood Public Storage facility on East Street. Westwood Police responded to the business on Tuesday, March 20, at around 4 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery, according to a news statement by the Westwood Police Department Wednesday morning. Police have described the alleged suspect as a "lone Hispanic or light-skinned black male", who reportedly entered the Public Storage facility and confronted the clerk, revealing what was believed to be a gun.
