What Happened to Ann's Lunch?
A Patch reader recently asked us about Ann's Lunch on High Street.
A Westwood Patch reader posted a question recently asking about an old building on High Street that once housed a Westwood staple: Ann's Lunch. "What happened to Ann's Lunch?" Patch reader, john spellman said. Well John, the last we heard was the building housing Ann's Lunch will be transformed and in its place will stand BiBi's Cafe. BiBi's will include 16 seats on the first floor, according to Westwood Town Planner Nora Loughnane. The second floor will house a bakery to produce fresh breads and baked goods for the restaurant, but will not be used to sell directly to the public. There will also not be a retail take-out counter, Loughnane said. The new establishment will offer a selection of goods including soups, salads and sandwiches…

Your comment is well stated but nonetheless a fabrication in your own mind. Did you ever hear of Zoning laws? The fact of the matter is that this new business had a hard time with approvals due to their own failure to plan by the rules. This new venture will crash and burn on its own, not due to any so called "conspiracy" by the towns duely elected representatives. Just watch... time will tell... more ›
