RECALL: Two Dog Treats Sold at Target

Two types of treats are being recalled because of possible salmonella contamination.

Kasel Associated Industries is voluntarily recalling its Boots & Barkley Roasted American Pig Ears and Boots & Barkley American Variety Pack Dog Treats because of possible salmonella contamination. The products were distributed nationally through Target stores in August 2012, according to the FDA. The closest Target stores to Westwood are located in Stoughton, Watertown and Braintree. Lunch Box Memories

Do you remember your favorite lunch box? Today's kids have as many options as ever but nothing will take the place of the Partridge Family or Scooby-Doo.

Lunch boxes have changed in design and shape over the years, but the basic idea is the same. Along with space inside for a cold drink, sandwich and snack, the cover is devoted to a favorite cartoon, character, TV show or movie.  That's why Justin Bieber and Darth Vader and Japanese cartoon characters are staring out at shoppers from the shelves of Target. Back in the '70s, the lunch boxes were aluminum. In the '80s, they gave way to plastic. Vintage lunch boxes now are highly collectible. They are displayed as collections in people's homes, and sometimes they get their own art gallery shows. (Yes, I've gone to one.) Do you remember a favorite lunch box? What was it? Have a picture handy? Share it with Westwood Patch!

That's what developers of the renamed project are aiming for, at least.   Representatives for New England Development and Eastern Real Estate, as well as others involved with the project, gave a brief overview of what they hope to bring to Westwood in the area of University Avenue during a pre-application meeting with the Westwood Planning Board Tuesday night. "We're really excited to be back here and we're looking forward to getting something done," said Steven Fischman, President of New England Development, which was originally involved in the Westwood Station proposal. Target and Wegmans, both of which were interested in taking…

Stubmytoe-just because you haven't seen three kids living in a condo in Westwood doesn't mean it won't happen. I would do it if I couldn't afford a house in the town. Stay as long as my kids got a good education. People like myself overpaid for a house just to get into the schools. Could have had an amazing house in Dedham or Norwood for less. People will do anything for their kids.   more ›
