MackSeeDoodle to Perform in Westwood Tonight

The show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo near the Westwood Senior Center.

Returning from a fun-filled performance last August, the group known as Mackseedoodle will once again take to the lawn in front of the Westwood Senior Center Monday night as part of the Summer Concert Series. The show kicks off at 6:30 p.m., when Mackseedoodle, a musical duo that performs an interactive musical performance for children of Pre-Kindergarten age and above, will entertain families and children alike. Original compositions and popular songs will be among the set-list tonight, as the group explores such topics as exploration of imagination, diversity, healthy choices, bullying and adventure. Summer Returns in Westwood with Fireman's Foam, Concert Series

The annual summer concert series kicks off in Westwood tonight, while the much-loved "Fireman's Foam" event takes place Wednesday.

Two of Westwood's most enjoyable summer activities are returning this week.  The fun kicks off tonight, Monday, July 9, with the first performance of the 2012 Summer Concert Series. The Westwood Swing Band will take residents on a journey of music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. by the gazebo at the Westwood Senior Center. The concerts are sponsored by the Westwood Young Women's Club, and are ideal events for families in Westwood and surrounding communities throughout the summer months. In the event of rain, the concerts will be moved to the Islington Community Center.  But the fun doesn't stop there. Summer Concert Series 2012 Lineup Announced

Three returning artists and one new performer will be-on hand starting July 9.

Westwood's annual Summer Concert Series is coming back to town just in time for the middle of the summer  The free concerts will be held at their normal location, the Westwood Senior Center, on the green by the gazebo. In the event of rain, the concerts will be moved to the Islington Community Center.  The concerts are sponsored by the Westwood Young Women's Club, and are ideal events for families in Westwood and surrounding communities throughout the summer months.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs and are welcome to pack a picnic dinner. Mackseedoodle Provides Fun for Everyone [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

The Summer Concert Series continued with the duo on Monday.

On Monday night, Westwood parents were able to treat their children to a summer concert featuring Mackseedoodle. The weather was looking a bit grim leading up to the 6:30 p.m. start of the concert, but the rain held off and the time was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. Children stood and danced right in front of the gazebo at the Westwood Senior Center; enjoying some familiar kids tunes. Mackseedoodle is a singing and acting duo that consists of Gisele Ganz Mack and Duane Sullivan. The two use their expertise as actors and musicians to bring fun for the whole family, but most notably for the children. The pair provided musical numbers that involved the children, such as “We’re Going to the Zoo,” and “I Learned Something New.” Many …
