5 Things: Library Activities, Baseball and Rosh Hashanah

Here are some things for September 14, 2012, that you'll probably be happy to know if you live in Westwood.

1. The Westwood Public Library (Islington Branch) will have Babies and Books today at 9:30 a.m. This fun activity will feature stories, song and dance for children under 2 and an accompanying adult. 2. The New England Explorers will be having their final day of tryouts for the 2013 baseball season on Sunday, September 16. This is for ages 13U-15U. Tryouts will be held at Westwood High School. Times are as follows: 13U begins at 9 a.m. 14U begins at 10 a.m. 15U begins at 11 a.m. Be sure to arrive early to fill out the registration paperwork. 3. Full day Kindergarten will begin at the Deerfield School and the Hanlon School on this coming Moday, September 17. 4. Rosh Hashanah begins on Sunday night. For those who will be celebrating the …

Here is a look of High Holy Day services for Temple Beth David in Westwood, Temple Beth Abraham in Canton and Temple Beth David in Canton.

Temple Israel (Sharon) Rosh Hashanah Sunday- Sept. 16 Monday- Sept. 17 Tuesday- Sept. 18 Tuesday- Sept. 25 Wednesday- Sept. 26 Temple Beth David (Westwood) Rosh Hashanah Services for Erev Rosh Hashanah (Sunday, September 16) will be at 8 p.m. On Monday, September 17, the early services will be at 8:30 a.m. and the late services will be at 11:30 a.m. There will be a Yeladim Service (Children's Service) in the afternoon at 3 p.m. On Tuesday, September 18, services will be at 10 a.m. The Tashlich Service will be at 12:15 p.m. Yom Kippur Kol Nidrei (Tuesday, September…
