Singles swept for Westwood and both doubles fell in straight sets.
The Wolverines' tennis squad edged out Bishop Feehan 3-2 Saturday afternoon at home, as they advanced to the quarterfinals of the D-2 South Tournament. With second and third singles already victorious and both doubles losing, the match was put on the shoulders of junior MaryKate Norton. Tournament baseball is alive and well within the town lines of both Westwood and Dedham as the two battled it out in their first round bout in the Division 3 South Sectionals at Russell E. "We got out to a nice lead," said Westwood skipper Brian Whelan, "and we sustained it." The win quickly moves Westwood (12-9) into a second round match-up against Abington Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Abington. Dedham, who finished their tough Division 1 schedule going (9-12…

Both baseball and softball fell to the Hillers Thursday afternoon at home.
After clinching their respective spots in the state tournament earlier this week, both the baseball and softball teams closed out their seasons Thursday afternoon at home against Hopkinton. Softball played the one-loss Hillers tough through the third inning thanks to Leigha Valentine’s three-run triple and an RBI single from Keira Travers, but Hopkinton’s bats were too strong as they pounded out 16 runs in the 16-5 victory. Regardless of the result, the girls will be playing in their first state tournament in four years and first under head coach Jonas Sherr, thanks to their Senior Day victory on Wednesday. “It was a really emotional day, especially for our seniors on senior day playing in front of their parents,” said Sherr about the game…
