Morrissey. George Schindler, 41, of Agawam Lane in Rockport pled guilty to passing a note demanding money to a teller on June 1, 2011 and fleeing the bank with $1,100, Morrissey said. “Westwood Police posted surveillance still photos from the bank on the Mass Most Wanted website to identify Schindler as a suspect,” Morrissey said. “He was arrested the following September and pled guilty on February 27, 2013.” Assistant District Attorney Greg Connor asked Judge Kenneth Fishman to sentence Schindler to 6 to 8 years in prison…

Michael Tucker, 45, the suspect in a Somerville bank robbery last weekend, was identified from the bank surveillance photo by Westwood Police, who had knowledge of him from an unrelated investigation. Tucker is the suspect in the Saturday morning robbery of Citizens Bank in Union Square, Somerville. He was arrested early Tuesday morning at a Red Roof Inn in Salem, NH, Somerville Police said. He was located at the hotel overnight and agents from the FBI, Violent Crimes Task Force, U.S. Marshals Service, Somerville Police and Salem Police converged on the hotel. Police said Wednesday they recently obtained the warrant for the arrest of George Schindler, 40, of Rockport, for the robbery, which took place on June 1. Subsequent the robbery, police sought a man described as being in his 20s with a scruffy beard and wearing a scally cap. The suspect handed over a note to a bank teller during the robbery, intimidating that he had a weapon, but no weapon was revealed, police said. Two individuals that were in the custody of the Westwood Police Department have been determined not to be involved in an attempted robbery at the Cooperative Bank on Washington Street Wednesday. Police received report of the robbery around 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, when an alleged white male entered the Cooperative Bank and passed a note to a teller, demanding money, according to a statement made by the Westwood Police Wednesday night. Two men have been arrested in connection with a recent unarmed robbery at The Cooperative Bank in Westwood, according to Westwood Police. Police were on the lookout for a male suspect who reportedly handed a note to a bank teller demanding cash around 4 p.m. on Sept. 29. As such, an arrest warrant was requested and granted for Joseph Hickson, 26, of West Roxbury for the robbery. During the robbery, Hickson reportedly intimidated that he had a weapon, and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
