Westwood Artist Sells Her Creations at Powisset Farm on Saturday

Lisa w.b. Walker will sell her pottery at Powisset Farm on August 10.

Artist Lisa w.b. Walker has lived in Westwood for more than 20 years, during the last half of those years she has been making pottery and selling it at local fairs and venues.

On Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain or shine), Walker will be selling her wares at Powisset Farm in Dover, she will return to Powisset Farm for her mid-summer pottery sale.

Walker describes her wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery as "functional pottery created to bring beauty to everyday life," and says he work is collection driven.  

"For example, I will be featuring my Farmers Bounty collection this weekend with my regular inventory.  Each piece has a story and it is all one of a kind work," she said.

About the Artist, Lisa w.b. Walker

  • She has a studio art major/art history minor from Skidmore College where she studied ceramics, photography and painting.
  • She is a Potters Place Clay artisan and a Dedham Square Artist Guild Artist.
  • She sells her work at (1) Custom Art Framing in Norwood, (2) Cristina Hurley Gallery in Canton, and (3) the Dedham Square Artist Guild Gallery in Dedham Square.
  • She has held a few sales at Bird Park Farm Stand and Moosehill Farm.
