Back Yard Concert-Fundraiser to Help Those in Need

Westwood Concert for a Cause will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday in the back yard of a Lake Shore Drive home.

Residents and passersby on Lake Shore Drive this Saturday may notice the sounds of some acoustic rock tunes floating about in the air.

The harmonies will be that of the Adam Ezra Group, an acoustic rock band based in Boston, which will be performing at the first-ever "Westwood Concert for a Cause" event.

"They're very philanthropically minded,"  said Hillary Kohler, who is hosting the concert in her backyard on Lake Shore Drive.

"We don't want it to be an exclusive event," said Kohler, who set up a large, 40-foot by 40-foot tent for the fundraiser. "We want to invite the community."

While tickets are not being sold, there is a $5 cover, and anyone willing to contribute donations can do so by bringing extra cash or a check book.

For those who cannot attend and wish to still make donations, checks can be made out to:
