Summer Reading Program Runs Through Sept. 1

This year's summer reading program is underway.

This year's summer reading program is underway at the new Westwood Public Library, according to the library website

How it Works:

• Register online or at the library (the Main or Islington branch) now through Sept.  1.

• Record your time on the Summer Reading website or on the paper log, available at the main library and the branch.

• For every 5 hours of reading completed, come into the library to fill out a raffle ticket. Every week will draw a name that wins a gift card to Barnes and Noble.

• For every 15 hours of reading you can fill out a raffle ticket for the chance to win the grand prize of one of two brand new Kindles, generously donated by Dedham Savings Bank.

• Come into the Library AND Dedham Savings to show them the hours in your reading log and receive even more prizes!

Summer Book Lists:

Want some suggestions on what to read? Westwood’s very own Children’s librarians have compiled what we think are the very best books of the year.

Check out the Summer Reading booklists grades K-6th on our Pinterest page: http://pinterest.com/westwoodplkids/. There is a link at the bottom of each book cover that links back to the library catalog.

The 2013 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through 6th grade. Families are also invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program for very young children.

The Summer Reading Program 2013 @ The Westwood Public Library is supported and sponsored by The Friends of the Westwood Library and Dedham Savings. We thank them for their generous support.
