Westwood Sustains First 2011 Loss to Millis, 12-7

The Wolverines are now 5-1 for the season as they face Medway at home next Friday.

Fighting off staggering bouts of rain and a brief lightning delay, the Westwood Wolverines saw their first loss of the 2011 season against Millis-Hopedale in a home battle in Westwood Friday night.

As reported in a video update on Boston.com Saturday, Westwood Sophomore Quarterback Bo Burluti pulled in the lone touchdown for the Wolverines with a 30-yard run.

But in the end, the Mohawks eventually came out victorious with the 12-7 win on Friday.

The first Westwood loss of the season comes on the heals of last week. With the win, which took place on Thursday, Oct. 6, Westwood took home its first Tri-Valley Large win. 

The Wolverines are now 5-1, 1-0 for the season and look to face Medway at home next Friday. Millis-Hopedale advances to 6-0 for the season and faces Dover-Sherborn next Friday on the road.
