Westwood Lax Player Named Northeast Player of the Year

The designation comes from U.S. Lacrosse Magazine.

Her work certainly paid off during the regular season, but to sweeten the deal, Westwood High School girls' lacrosse player Sarah Biron was recently named the Northeast Player of the Year by U.S. Lacrosse Magazine

Biron, a senior midfielder for Westwood, helped lead the team to a major championship this year, winning the state title for the third time in the last four years with a .

The U.S. Lacrosse Magazine article highlights how Biron, who is headed to Johns Hopkins University, achieved 95 goals, 32 assists and 130 ground balls for the season.

Moreover, Westwood was also named the fourth girls team in the Northeast, falling only behind New York's Northport, St. Anthony's and Garden City teams.
