Westwood Lax Coach Featured in Sports Illustrated

Westwood's Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach, Leslie Frank, was recently featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" coaches edition, according to a report on Boston.com.

Frank led the varsity lacrosse squad to a state title this past spring, .

It was the third state title for the Wolverines in the last four seasons (the team holds five), something that gained them meeting last spring.

Frank also serves as co-director of the Mass Elite Lacrosse club and has sent 15 athletes to NCAA Division-1 programs in the last 13 years, according to the Sports Illustrated post.

Frank wasn't the only one of the team to get national recognition this year. In August, varsity player Sarah Biron was named the Northeast Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year in August by U.S. Lacrosse Magazine.
