Westwood High School Scoreboard April: 23-29

Both Westwood High School's varsity baseball and softball teams found themselves fall to under .500 this week, whereas boys’ lacrosse is now a game over after winning two of three.

Girls’ lacrosse remained unbeaten as well as both boys’ and girls’ track. Girls’ tennis continued to roll, winning two of three and the boys are still looking to pick up their first victory. 

Baseball (4-5)

• Monday, April 25: Loss to Medfield, 7-6
  (Westwood battled back to tie the game at six after falling behind 6-1 but a solo home run by Medfield in the seventh proved to be the difference.)
• Wednesday, April 27: Loss to Norton, 15-3
• Friday, April 29: Loss at Hopkinton, 12-5

Softball (4-5)

• Monday, April 25: Win against Medfield, 8-0
  (EB Messenio tossed six shutout innings and Leigha Valentine hit a three-run homer to power the Wolverines past Medfield.)
• Wednesday, April 27: Loss to Norton, 17-6
• Friday, April 29: Loss at Hopkinton, 10-5

Boys Lacrosse (5-4)

• Monday, April 25: Win against Shawsheen Valley Vocational Tech, 8-2
• Tuesday, April 26: Win at Medway, 12-11
• Friday, April 29: Loss to Hopkinton, 16-6

Girls Lacrosse (10-0)

• Monday, April 25: Win against Duxbury, 19-3
• Tuesday, April 26: Win against Medway, 20-5
  (Ten goals between Laura McHoul and Sarah Biron were more than enough for Westwood against Medway.)
• Friday, April 29: Win at Hopkinton, 14-10
  (The narrow margin of victory for Westwood was slimmest of the season. Their previous low was 10.)
