Westwood Golf Team Crowned Div. 3 Champions
The Wolverines took home the MIAA Boys' Golf Division 3 State Final Monday in a match against Medfield.
In a tight match on Monday, the Westwood Wolverines varsity golf team in the MIAA Boys' Golf Division 3 State Final at Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis, its first title since 2002.
Westwood's Pat Frodigh sank a crucial putt on the 13th hole for the Wolverines, pulling an eagle on the Par-5 hole, according to Boston.com. The move gave the Wolverines a one-stroke advantage over the Warriors.
Westwood ultimately tied Medfield with a final score of 313, but edged the Warriors with an 83 vs. 84, according to Medfield Patch.
