Westwood Girls Hockey Topple Over Scituate
The Wolverines pulled in a 7-1 victory Monday night in Canton.
On Monday night, the Westwood Girls Hockey team beat Scituate by a score of 7 to 1.
Ela Hazar opened the scoring for Westwood in the first period. A minute later, Scituate got on the board but that is all they could muster. The rest of the game was all Westwood.
Hannah Orcutt put the Wolverines back in front 2-1 with a minute left in the period.

Kelly Healey then scored to increase Westwood's lead to 3-1. The goal came on a rebound of a shot by Maddie McKeown.
Westwood then went off for four goals early in the third period, putting the game out of reach. Ela Hazar, Kim Egizi, Megan Kelly and Kelly Healy all scored. Westwood outshot Scituate 16 to 1 in the third period.

The all freshman line of Hazar (2G, 2A), Egizi (1G, 2A) and Healey (2G, 1A) finished the game with 10 points.
Courtney Fay and Siobhan Burke split the goaltending time for Westwood. Head Coach Rick Cruschiel noted that Fay made some outstanding saves early in the game to keep Westwood in it.
