Wolverines Make Strides Against Breast Cancer

On Friday, Sept. 30, the Westwood High School Girls Soccer, Field Hockey, Girls Volleyball, Girls Swimming, Football and Cheering teams all have home games.

Athletes from all sports, at a variety of venues, will be raising awareness for the American Cancer Society's mission to fight cancer as well as soliciting donations.

All 445 fall athletes from Westwood will be wearing Breast Cancer Awareness Armbands, donated by the Westwood Boosters. Each team may tie the color pink into other, sport-specific aspects of their team uniforms. 

The fall sports teams are encouraging everyone - teachers, staff, students, parents, community members, and local businesses - to incorporate pink into their green and white spirit in support of our campus-wide Wolverines Make Strides Against Breast Cancer event that afternoon/evening.

One-hundred percent of the money raised will be pledged to the Girls Soccer Team’s 6th consecutive American
Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, Oct. 2 on behalf of the Westwood Athletic Community.
