2012 Riley Hoop Classic Highlights; Westwood Headed to Playoffs

Westwood fell to Arlington in the consolation game 71-62, but all four teams who played this week are on their way to the MIAA tournament.

It may have been a vacation week for students in Westwood, but things were a bit busy for the Westwood High School basketball teams. 

Westwood hosted this year's , which kicked off on Sunday and ran through Wednesday.

The event was an overall success, drawing fans from Norwood, Canton, Norfolk, Wrentham, Plainville, Arlington and Westwood. 

The event treated fans to a handful of exciting games and a number of key plays by talented players on all team.

On the final night of the boys tournament, Arlington defeated Westwood in the consolation game 71-62, while King Philip defeated Norwood for the championship by the score of 58 to 50. 

All four teams have had successful seasons are headed to the MIAA state tournament which begins next week.

The girls also took part in the tournament but did not play for at tournament championship.
