Westwood Collegiate Roundup 2012: Graduations, Awards and Dean's List Mentions

With seniors from and , some may wonder how residents from town are doing on the collegiate level. 

Below is a roundup of recent graduation announcements, as well as award notices and dean's list appointments:

Graduation

Robert E. Leahy received a bachelor of science degree in engineering and management, project management minor from Clarkson University on May 12.

James Ahigian received Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Bryant University.

Emanuel Frangiadakis received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Bryant University.

Brian Kelly received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Bryant University.

Christopher Powers Roach was awarded a bachelor of science degree in Accounting during Salve Regina University's 62nd commencement on Sunday, May 20.

Alena Chubet earned BA degree Cum Laude from Skidmore College. 

Juliana D'Aleo earned a BA degree from Skidmore College.

William T. Clark received a Master of Arts degree in English within the Graduate College during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.

Kristen Farrell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Quinnipiac University.

Melissa Mancini earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Quinnipiac University.

Jason Resha received Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from Quinnipiac University.

Gregory Goodfellow was awarded a bachelor of arts degree from Connecticut College at the 94th commencement ceremony on May 20.

George Audi received a bachelor's degree in Social Science and Sociology from Providence College.

Matthew Keaveney received a bachelor's degree in History, Cum Laude from Providence College.

Alessandra Morteo received a bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Management, Cum Laude from Providence College.

Michael Murray received a bachelor's degree in History from Providence College.

Alexandra Powell graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday, May 20, 2012, majoring in History, Language and Culture Studies: French and German.

Tristan Chin has earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Ryan Bowler received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Mary Carlin graduated May, 13, 2012, from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Ryan Hall graduated from the Pomfret School during the school's 118th commencement on Sunday May 27.

Awards

Justina Germano, a freshman at Connecticut College, was awarded the honorable mention for the Foundations of Education Award, which is given to a student who demonstrates a critical understanding of the foundations of American schooling. Germano was presented with the award at the annual Honors & Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on May 1.

Dean's List

Anthony Sadler made the Dean's List at DePaul University for the winter quarter of 2012. 

Sarah Muellers, class of 2014 at Connecticut College, has been named to the Dean's High Honors list.

Brian Benson was named to the dean's list of Sacred Heart University.

Jessica L. Gerson, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2012, was named to the school's dean's list.

Alexandra M. Kay, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2012, was named to the school's dean's list.

Kristina J. Maimonis, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2012, was named to the school's dean's list.

George W. Georgaklis, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2014, was named to the school's dean's list.

Maria A. Georgaklis, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2015, was named to the school's dean's list.

Ailyn A. Pestana, a member of Stone Hill College's class of 2015, was named to the school's dean's list.

Catherine Fraser has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Salve Regina University.
