Senior Lax Players Sign National Letter of Intent

Laura McHoul and Kate Rich committed to advancing in lacrosse at UNH and BC this week.

Two senior lacrosse players at signed the National Letter of Intent this week, as they look to advance in the sport beyond the high school turf.

In a small ceremony at the high school on Tuesday, Laura McHoul signed a Letter of Intent to play for the University of New Hampshire, while Kate Rich signed a Letter of Intent for Boston College.

High School Principal Sean Bevan, Superintendent John Antonucci and Girls Lacrosse Head Coach Leslie Frank all joined in the ceremony on Tuesday.

The lacrosse season is still a few months off, but once the girls hit the turf again in the spring, they'll becoming off a hot season this past year as Division 1 State Champions. 

It was the girls' third state title in four years, a title they were able to earn through , 15-9, in June.

It was also a notable year for Frank, coaches edition.

Meanwhile, 2011 Westwood High School graduate , as she was named the Northeast Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year in August by U.S. Lacrosse Magazine.

According to its website, by signing a National Letter of Intent, McHoul and Rich commit to attend their respective schools for one academic year.
