The Westwood High School varsity team played a tough game against Ashland on Wednesday night, but ultimately fell 3-0.
While all of the matches were incredibly close, it was not enough to get the Wolverines on top.
Westwood played a very strong third match and pulled ahead for the first few points, but the Ashland girls answered the lead quickly. Westwood did not give up easy.

"The first game saw Ashland jump out ahead 25-16," Head Coach Kevin Whitaker said. "Westwood battled back behind the strong serves of Carol Han and Jing Li, but was defeated 25-21 in game two. The final game went back and forth, with Chrissa Salemis making a number of key defensive digs but Ashland finished strong at then 25-23."
Westwood is now 4-3 for the season and has a busy week with three games next week against Norton, Norwood, and Needham.

The Wolverines take on Norwood next Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. on their home turf.
