PHOTOS: Westwood Takes Dedham in Home Opener

The Wolverines won the 21-7 victory under the lights at home.

Westwood High School's varstiy football team advaced to 2-0 for the season with a 21-7 victory over Dedham in the first home game of the Fall 2011 season Friday night.

The Wolverines were ahead 6-0 at the end of the first quarter, and almost doubled that score soon into the second quarter when Alex Berluti ran for the end zone.

The touchdown was unfortunately recalled due to a flag on the play, but that did not discourage the Wolverine men.

The team played a tough offensive game, and even more importantly the defense played a tight game as well, letting only one touchdown through.

Fans roared as the Wolverines scored their last touch down and the cheerleaders went wild when the game concluded in a significant win.

The Wolverines head to Bellingham next Friday for a 7 p.m. kick off.
